The Bahama mansion of hedge fund manager Louis Bacon reportedly was raided and the police confiscated allegedly dangerous sound equipment.
Four speakers were taken out of the Lyford Cay property owned by the Moore Capital Management founder Monday, according to a report in
The Bahama Journal.
The newspaper described the speakers as “military grade.”
Lyford Cay is a gated community in New Providence, Bahamas where listed prices for homes range from $1.9 million to $36 million, according to the Lyford Cay Homes Sales & Rentals Web site.
Pericles Maillis, an attorney for Bacon, sent a letter to the Bahama police saying that the speakers were not for military use and were harmless.
The speakers police seized, Maillis claimed, were meant for music events in big venues, like stadiums.
A spokeswoman for the Bahama Royal Police said the commissioner was due to issue a statement on the incident. However, no statement was available by press time.
